The growing adoption of AI-based technologies and algorithms for Robo-Trading and Robo-Advisor systems testifies how the state of the art of these technologies is now able to give benefits. VisioScientiae wants to present itself in this market with a very high growth rate, also taking advantage of the results of this project. In turn, the DMI, through this project, wants to hone its skills to improve its position of excellence in the field of Big Data, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. The additional skills acquired and the algorithms developed within the project by the DMI and VS can be used not only for scientific publications in the field of financial forecasting but also with regard to the forecasting of time series in other areas, such as management of consumption in modern production systems, consumption of energy distribution, rather than the management of transport systems, etc.

MARIO addresses the difficult challenges of loneliness, isolation and dementia in older persons through innovative and multi-faceted inventions delivered by service robots. The effects of these conditions are severe and life-limiting. They burden individuals and societal support systems. Human intervention is costly but the severity can be prevented and/or mitigated by simple changes in self-perception and brain stimulation mediated by robots.
From this unique combination, clear advances are made in the use of semantic data analytics, personal interaction, and unique applications tailored to better connect older persons to their care providers, community, own social circle and also to their personal interests. Each objective is developed with a focus on loneliness, isolation and dementia. The impact centres on deep progress toward EU scientific and market leadership in service robots and a user driven solution for this major societal challenge. The competitive advantage is the ability to treat tough challenges appropriately. In addition, a clear path has been developed on how to bring MARIO solutions to the end users through market deployment.

The Waternomics project aims to reduce water consumption of municipalities, corporations and domestic users by providing water managers and consumers with timely information about water usage and water availability. The project makes information about the water services system available to stakeholders in real-time in order to stimulate water saving. By employing smart water technology, the project (i) enables the detailed and real-time measurement of water flows and usage, (ii) supports analyses of water consumption patterns and (iii) provides key recommendations on how to increase water efficiency.

Since the early years of the market boom, online videos have always followed a growing trend, not only in the use of content but above all in advertising investments. Brands, advertisers, media agencies and content creators have indeed shifted their attention to social media. Youtube absorbs more than half of the investments of the major brands being, after Google, the second search engine on the web. The positioning of the videos is of fundamental importance and, as for the websites, this depends on the SEO and therefore on the correct optimization of the videos to ensure maximum viewing and diffusion of the contents. This project aims at creating the first optimization tool that makes use of machine learning to automate processes that have always been manual so far.
